JO3 Erwin D de Vega


On 21 June 1993, Mamburao Municipal Jail was turned over to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology to give a distinction as a separate facility with its own administration and operation. It was headed by SJO3 Remito V Reyes as Jail Warden together with his men SJO1 Pedro R Acquitan and JO1 Eduardo Q Tria, all from Philippine National Police who later turned into Jail Officers.

In 2007, SJO2 Danilo O Rigor replaced SJO3 Remito V Reyes after the latter’s retirement. In 2008 to 2009, SJO4 Edgardo R Mangasep replaced SJO2 Danilo O Rigor then replaces by SJO3 Bienvenido B Pblete. At present, Mamburao Municipal Jail is purely manned by the BJMP with two (2) human resources under the stewardship of JO3 Erwin D de Vega.


Sablayan Municipal Jail

The old building of Sablayan Municipal Jail is a single story building constructed in 1950’s, and served as PNP lock up facility. Turned over to and have been into BJMP management since March 1995. Presently, the building has 3 cells, one served as PNP lock up cell.

Last February 19, 2021, the Regional Director of the Jail Bureau, JSSUPT MARIA IRENE A ESQUINAS, led the blessing and inauguration of the newly constructed jail building at Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro.

In attendance were Hon. Andres D. Dangeros, Municipal Mayor of Sablayan, Hon. Walter Marquez, Municipal Vice-Mayor, SPPF OIC Superintendent CSINSP JAYFERSON G BON-AS, and representatives from partner agencies.Also, the new jail building was officially turned over to BJMP MIMAROPA Region thru its Caretaker, SJO1 Regina D Dangupon for operational occupancy. The new jail building and has a maximum capacity to house 150 PDLs.


San Jose District Jail

The Regional Director of the Jail Bureau, JSSUPT MARIA IRENE A ESQUINAS led the Blessing and Inauguration of the newly constructed three-story jail facility of San Jose District Jail located at Brgy. Mabini, San Jose, Occidental Mindoro last February 18, 2021.

In attendance were Hon. Romulo D Festin, Municipal Mayor of San Jose, Municipal Vice-Mayor, Hon. Roderick Q. Agas, OIC of SAMARICA, Hon. Jose Franco Mendiola, and representatives from other partner agencies.

The facility was also officially turned over to the custody of BJMP MIMAROPA for operational occupancy by authorities concerned which has a maximum capacity to house 600 PDL. The facility is headed by J/SINSP BRYAN IAN PAUL A RAÑADA
